Mignonmide Group's story

The Mignonmide group is made up of three people who live in the same district. The representative of this group, whose name is Philomène, is the one with her hand raised in the photo. Philomène is 37 years old and lives in Benin. She did not go to school. She is married to a carpenter called Iréné. The couple has three children, all at school and in their care. Philomène lives with her husband and children. The couple cover the various household expenses between them. In order to cover the various expenses, Philomène has been selling food (rice, beans) and various other products from her home for around ten years. She gets her supplies in a Benin market. With a view to satisfying customer demand and increasing her turnover and income, Philomène is, together with the other members of the Mignonmide group, requesting a seventh loan from Alidé. The six previous loans were all repaid in full.
