A loan helped to buy fruit, vegetables, and bread.

Miriam's story

Miriam is both a dedicated student and an entrepreneur. She is 22 years old and nearly done with her degree in secretarial techniques. Simultaneously, she has been running a “snack” shop for the last 1.5 years. She is requesting a loan in order to purchase inventory for her store, such as fruit, vegetables and bread. Miriam looks forward to finishing her academic program and hopes to open a chain of snack shops in the future.

Miriam is receiving an individual loan as a member of the village bank "El Sr de los Temblores III" in Cusco, which is located in the Andean mountains at 3,400 meters above sea level. The bank is in its first cycle with Asociación Arariwa, although some group members were previously members of other village banks.
