A loan helped to buy a cow and two calves, fertilizer and herbicides.

Juan Manuel's story

Juan lives with his wife and two children, and only he does the farm work and raises livestock. He learned this trade from his father, and does it on the piece of land where he lives. He doesn't have fixed hours because his work is done on a daily basis, and some days he works harder than others.

He is applying for a loan to buy a cow and two calves, as well as supplies to begin planting corn, such as fertilizer and herbicides. This purchase will help him add to his cattle herd and grow his crop. Juan's goal is to improve his output, by producing a good harvest; and with regard to his livestock, by selecting and maintaining good cattle.
