A loan helped to buy a dairy cow.

Simion's story

Simion has been in farming for 10 years in his hometown of Litein, where he lives with his family of 5 children, with the first three school-going. He sells his milk products locally.

He has requested a loan of 40,000 KES which he intends to use in purchasing a dairy cow. He adds he wants to acquire more dairy cows with his farming income and make it his source of livelihood.

Simion laments of the poor market for farm produce, especially locally due to low prices offered, as occasioned by the poor infrastructure to access distant markets.
