A loan helped to carry out building maintenance.

Tomas's story

Tomas belongs to the communal bank “Nueva Esperanza de Ollantaytambo”. The members of the communal bank meet every 30 days in the city of Ollantaytambo in the province of Urubamba in the department of Cusco.

Tomas is 28 years old and is in a common-law marriage from which he has 2 children. He was born in the city of Ollantaytambo and lives in the same city he was born in and where he carries out his economic activities. Tomas' main business is selling food and he has a restaurant in a rented property. In the morning he serves breakfast, at noon lunch and in the evening he makes roasted chickens with chips. He has had the business for 3 years and is doing very well thanks to the effort he puts into his work.

This time Tomas needs the loan for building maintenance as the rainy season is fast approaching and the roof is leaking.

Tomas is grateful for and values the loan and agrees to make his repayments on a monthly basis.
