Sop Serigne Touba Group's story

The Sop Serigne Touba solidarity group is composed of 23 women. They all live in the same neighborhood. The group was created April 9th, 2011 - the same day the Ndieng D. "Banc Villageois" (loan group) was inaugurated.

Soda N., the group's leader, is 49 years old. She is married and the mother of eight dependent children. She is all the way to the right on the picture, and is wrapped in a white scarf.

She is active in the retail of peanut oil and niebe (a local bean). She has mastered this activity as a result of over ten years of experience.

Her loan will allow her to finance her retail activity to strive for greater income.

Her objective is to support her husband in providing for the family's needs.

In this group: Soda, Arame, Dial Bass, Mbayta, Mbene, Binta, Khady, Sokhna, Fatou, Khardiata, Astou, Nogaye, Diakhate, Woury, Maye, Ndack, Oumy Khaïry, Fatou, Awa, Faty, Awa, Maty, Maye
