Bëgg Diam Group's story

The solidarity group BËGG DIAM is made up of 12 women all from the same neighborhood. This cohabitation favors the good relationship and cohesion between the members. The group is a member of the Montage Nord3 Banc Villageois. Mrs. Awa G. (standing completely to the right of the photo, in white clothing) is the leader of the group. She is 47 years old. She is married and the mother of 5 children. She also cares for two children who were entrusted to her by loved ones. She raises goats. She goes to the markets to buy the goats which she raises for five months before reslling them in the weekly markets or in town. At the same time, she runs a business cooking and selling doughnuts in her neighborhood. Her loan will allow her to buy at least three goats. Her objective is to support her children in their studies, while augmenting her savings level.
