A loan helped a member to pay for university for her daughter.

Señor Pan De Azucar De Sacllo Group's story

The partners are part of the village bank "Pan D. Azucar D. Sacllo". This bank is located in the district of Calca, which is part of the province of Calca and the department of Cusco.

Benita is 49 years old, married and has 8 children. She practices farming and raises cattle. She grows potatoes, corn and barley, among other things, and also sells cow's milk to the markets in the Sacred Valley, for example Urubamba, Calca and Ollantaytambo. She is a very happy and enterprising woman who really wants to help her family get ahead, and even more so now that one of her daughters is studying nursing at the private university. She is very pleased that she is helping her daughter in the way that she needs.

She is asking for a loan for her daughter's university studies.

The other members of the group participate in agriculture, raising livestock, and selling chicha D. jora (a corn-based drink). All of the members do only these things.

Benita feels very happy about the loan and promises to meet the payments.

In this group: Benita, Patricia, Angelica, Carmen, Vilma, Cirila, Rufina, Petronila, Basilia, Dolores, Paulina Macaria
