A loan helped purchase merchandise for her store.

Lilian Del Carmen's story

Doña Lilian is 40 years old and resides in Lolotique in the Department of San Miguel. She lives with her husband and their four children (ages 20, 18, 14, and 3) who are financial dependents.

Doña Lilian has managed a store for twelve years through her own initiative. She works Monday through Sunday, but she does not have a set schedule since she sells out of her home. Lilian is requesting a loan to invest in her business. She will buy corn, rice, sugar, oil, soups, vegetables, chicken, beverages and other items she sells every day to her customers.

This loan will help strengthen her business by allowing her to remain stocked with all types of household necessities that are most requested by her customers. Her aspirations include continuing to increase her business so that her children can finish their studies. She believes this will give them the chance to have a more stable future.
