A loan helped a woman- and black-owned small business with advertising to grow sales and purchase inventory.

Ariel's story

I am a young African American woman from Cleveland, Ohio, with two children. I have always had a fashion niche. Appearance and the importance of growing self-love were prominent in my household, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for many young women I knew. That’s what drove me to want to incorporate that into my business. I always knew I wanted to be involved in fashion, but I also liked the women who couldn’t afford to have the luxury of shopping in certain retail stores to look great.

When you look good, you feel good; many people don’t realize how big of a confidence booster it is. So I want to help women, whether knowing what to wear to an interview or something as simple as just wanting to look good for an outing. Self-love is crucial & I want our young ladies to know that!
