A loan helped a member to buy fabrics, sewing supplies, and pagnes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Le Chevalier Group's story

Madam Antoinette is client of the micro-finance institution Hekima and she chairs the villager group "Le Chevalier" [The knight]. She is married, 50 years old, and she is the mother of 4 children who all go to school. Her partner is a doctor.

She is a seamstress. She started this business two years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later on, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, which she continuously develops. With this new loan, she will buy fabrics, sewing supplies, and pagnes (a traditional cloth wrap), which will strengthen her initial capital. Her business doesn't face any challenges.

She would like her children to continue to study and to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to business owners who lack access to banking services in the context of the global covid-19 crisis. The photo only shows the group leader to respect social distancing measures in place against covid-19.
