A loan helped purchase rice, sugar, and milk.

Ana Rosa's story

Ana is 44 years old and lives the periurban area of Fortín (a mountainous place with dirt roads) in Guayaquil. She operates a grocery store that she started some time ago and has three children (ages 17, 14, and 9) who help her after they come home from school.

Ana started selling beverages, but with effort over time she remodeled her house and now runs her store out of her living room. She works from 6am until 8pm. In order to increase the inventory of her business, she wants to use her loan to buy rice, sugar, and milk.

In the future, she wants to finish her house since it is lacking paint. She also would like to have a well-stocked store so that it will be one of the best in the area.
