A loan helped a divorced mom to purchase farming inputs such as high-nutrient fertilizers and certified seeds to help improve her farm yield and make profits.

Jenifer's story

Juhudi Kilimo is celebrating divorced women such as Jenifer, 60 (pictured with her farming neighbor wearing a white top), who resides in the Nandi hills area of Kenya.

Jenifer has a strong desire to get ahead, improve her living conditions and support her children. She works hard so she can support her family. In the past few years, she has bred more than one dairy cow and has developed her farm.

Jenifer was unable to study to attain a professional career owing to the economic situation faced by her family. However, she has never given up and has been skillfully practicing farming. She is a very proud farmer, especially when she is milking her cows. Through her dairy cows, she is able to get rich creamy milk, which helps support her family.

Jenifer also practices crop farming, but she has not been making good profits because of poor farming inputs. She has requested a loan, which she will use to buy farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and good fertilizer that she will use to greatly improve her crop production.

Modern farming requires the use of modern techniques. Using high-quality seed will assure her of a bumper harvest and, hence, increased levels of profit.

Kindly lend to a divorced mom in this season!

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
