A loan helped to buy more merchandise.

Eva's story

Eva is married with four children who attend school. She rents a three-room house where she lives with eight people. The family has access to electricity and piped water. She takes care of additional family members. The family gets three meals per day. Her greatest monthly expenses are food, rent and school fees.

Eva owns a retail shop market selling all kinds of merchandise like sugar, salt, soap and other items. She works seven days per week. She would like to purchase more bags of sugar, cartons of salt and boxes of soap with the Ush. 800,000 loan from MCDT. She rents the space for her business at 45000/= per month. She has been running her business for ten years. She has at least 30 customers a day and sells to all categories of people at retail. Her greatest challenges are the rainy season and seasonality because she works from a muddy place. Eva has worked with MCDT for seven years and chose the organization because of their good services. Eva hopes to sell only at wholesale.
