A loan helped chickens, drinks.

Juan Carlos's story

Juan G. is 25 years old and lives on the outskirts of Guayaquil, Ecuador. His house is made of cement and has basic services such as water and electricity.

Juan's father always wanted to have his own chicken roasting business. Using the few savings he had, Juan decided to make his father's dream a reality by buying a small roaster.

He now rents a space and works from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM along with one other employee. In his small restaurant he sells whole roasted chickens with a salad and a drink for $9.00. With this loan he wants to buy chickens, drinks, and other supplies for his business.

In the future he wants to buy his own house and improve his business.
