A loan helped a member to purchase more peanuts and flour.

God Is Love Group's story

For more than 15 years, Jiblee T. has been selling foodstuffs such as peanuts and flour in the Free Port Community, adjacent the seaport of Monrovia, Liberia. She is 48 years old, married, and has four children, ages 30 to 36 years old. She did not continue her education through 6th grade due to a lack of support from her parents. Jiblee talks to her customers in a friendly manner which keeps them returning. She plans to use her 14,000 Liberian dollar (LRD) portion of this 36,000 LRD group loan to purchase more peanuts and flour to bake bread. Her goal is to improve her business and buy land to construct a house for her family.

Jiblee is the leader of this group of five borrowers called "God is Love". In the photo that accompanies this profile, Jiblee is the one holding the sign.
