Pathani's story

Pathani is a 49-year-old woman who lives with her sister in Multan, Pakistan. Her native language is Punjabi, which she speaks with her family, and she speaks Urdu culturally and for her business. They live in their own house made of brick that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing.

Pathani has been raising calves as a source of income. She has been raising calves for five years.

Pathani is a borrower of BRAC Pakistan. She receives financial aid from BRAC Pakistan for her livestock business. She buys calves from the animal markets, following which she raises the calves until the following season when she resells them in the same markets with the help of her sister in some festive season such as Eid ul Azha (Sacrifice Eid, which is a Muslim sacrifice holiday).

Pathani plans to grow her business for a better future for herself. Pathani requested a 50,000 PKR loan through BRAC Pakistan to buy calves and animal food for her livestock business.
