A loan helped a member to buy organic fertilizer and additional seedling.

Thea Group's story

Thea is a 38-year-old married woman with 2 school aged children who lives in Kampong Cham Province.

She cultivates rice with her husband and sells a sticky rice cake called Num Ansom to support her family. She can earn about 10 USD per day.

Thea leads a 2-member group to apply for loans.

As the group leader, she is going to use her loan portion to buy organic fertilizer and additional seedling. The remainder will be used to buy ingredients to make Num Ansom to sell.

She hopes that she will be able to buy three-hectare farmland to grow rice, build a decent house, and especially support her children’s studies.
