Benkadi Group's story

Bourama is the gentleman who is holding the ram in the photo. He is a Malian farmer. He is 36 years old, married, and has four children aged from 1 to 13 years old, all of whom are not in schooling. His wife is a housewife.

Bourama did not attend school. He has been engaged in breeding sheep for 11 years. He stocks up from the local markets not far from his village and resells his products in the same markets.

Bourama is appealing to the RMCR to have more funds for his business. He maintains a good relationships with the microfinance institution, and the profits he earns from his business allows him to meet some of his family's needs. He is very experienced in this field of work, and is often confronted with sales slumps. He feels comfortable doing this business because he sees himself as participating in the economic development of his local community.

In the future, he wants and hopes to become a great sheep breeder in order to be able to support his family members' needs.
