A loan helped a member to buy more stock of shoes, slippers and dressing bags.

Holiness Group's story

Theresa is 52 years old. She is divorced with two children. Her elder daughter is a trader while her last-born just completed senior high school and is waiting for her results to further her education. As a single mother, Theresa works hard to provide support for her household. She claims things are very difficult, but she has the hope that soon things will turn for her good. She is a trader who has traded in shoes, women's slippers and dressing bags for the past 20 years. She takes delivery of stock from Accra, the capital town of Ghana. She requests a loan to augment her working capital to buy more stock of shoes, slippers and dressing bags to sell. She believes the loan will enable her to raise more income to support her family.

She is the leader of a trust bank group called "Holiness." She is the one sitting in the group photograph. Most of the members in this group are petty traders, food vendors and farmers. In this group, members guarantee for one another as social collateral to access the loan and peer pressure to repay the loan. They would be grateful for your support.

In this group: Theresa, Bernice, Leticia, Felicia, Faustina, Mary, Felicia
