Sokhorn's story

Sokhorn is 49 years old. She is a mother of four children who is living in the rural area of Kakaoh Village, Trapeang Preah Commune, Prey Chhor District, Kampong Cham Province. All of her children are attending school. Her spouse is operating a farming business on their farmland, which provide them USD $5 per day.

This year Sokhorn wants to build a new house but she doesn't have enough money to buy any supplies yet. Due to the shortage of funds, now she is applying for a loan from Kiva via HKL to buy many house supplies such as wood, brick, stone and others.

This is the first loan cycle for her family with Kiva. This first loan cycle will help her family to have a decent place to live and improve her standard of living. In the future she wants to buy more farmland and invest in her children's studying.

She would like to say thanks to all lenders for their financial support.
