We loan because...
we care and realize that some of the things we enjoy daily are taken for granted: a coffee, a walk in the park, one or two hot showers a day... We often fail to notice that such "trivial" activities are actually considered luxuries in many parts of the world -- stuff that most people on this planet cannot even hope for.

Les tirelires du bonheur ont commencé autour du café. C'est une initiative qui vise à nous rappeler que nos petits bonheurs quotidiens sont des luxes incroyables. Chaque fois qu'on en prend conscience, on prend aussi le temps d'allonger quelques pièces de monnaie. Mine de rien, sur une année, c'est plusieurs centaines de dollar que l'on met de côté sans s'en apercevoir, et Kiva est une plateforme idéale pour aider, via le microcrédit, des entrepreneurs de la nécessité, un peu partout dans le monde, à améliorer un peu leur vie, celle de leur famille et de leur communauté.
