Kiva Lending Team: Temple Emanuel Global Mitzvah Project
We loan because...
Temple Emanuel strives to fulfill Judaism's commitment to tzedakah, helping others to have their basic human needs met. We believe deeply in tikkun olam– God’s call to heal or repair the world. The main goal of this project is to help needy communities, families and children in low income regions of the world. Now in our fifth year, the project has so far raised funds to improve health, safety, food, education, and self-determination for women and children in Guatemala, Haiti, El Salvador, Argentina, Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Nepal and India.
Our team is a responsible, well educated group of men, women and youth dedicated to helping improve the lives of families trying hard to overcome poverty and lack of education.
