Kiva Lending Team: Seafood Asia
We loan because...
1 - Families need food and jobs
2 - A fish farmer is never hungry but always busy
3 - We want to help fishers who can't find fish anymore
4 - We want to let fish stocks recover
5 - We love eating seafood so we must farm fish
6 - We believe aquaculture is the future of seafood supply
7 - We loan because we can make a big difference
This is a new group aimed primarily at fish farmers and fishermen and fisherwoman who want to swap from fishing to farming.
We will also loan to others in the aquaculture value chain, i.e. equipment or feed suppliers, hatcheries, fish merchants, fish markets, fish processors, value add business etc
