Kiva Lending Team: Men
We loan because...
Due to prevailing misandry, many Kiva groups openly advocate for discrimination against men and boys, and this is not without consequences: men are only 19% of borrowers (local partners know that putting a male face in the photo is a bad idea) and account for 65% of loans that don’t get funded (i.e. those few men who manage to get on the site are massively discriminated against by Kivans).
We therefore make a small effort to redress the balance by remembering that males are people too, and by lending money to worthy men who bolster their communities and their families.
A team that makes loans to impoverished men.
