Malikah Kelly is a savvy fashion industry professional, with experience in marketing, strategy, business development, and online media. Kelly has held posts at Sergio Rossi, launching the brand’s first international ecommerce site and creating a global online marketing strategy. Prior to that, Kelly served as Business Manager for Neima Sitawi Luxury Boutique Fashion in Bologna, Italy. She joined the company in 2011, and had been tasked with boosting brand awareness through the development of international social media strategies and managing sales and marketing events in some of Europe’s most prominent and rapidly growing fashion markets, including Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Bulgaria, and Istanbul, Turkey. Kelly has also held positions at Giorgio Armani, Reiss, and served as managing editor for a popular fashion, style and beauty blog. She is currently the Digital Content Manager at Steve Madden, a newly created role in the company’s wholesale division.
Before launching her career, Malikah Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Human Relations at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. She decided to transition from a more clinical direction to pursue her interest in the fashion industry, successfully completing the transition after a series of internships and editorial posts at some of the country’s leading women’s fashion publications, including Teen Vogue and Glamour magazine. She then went on to complete her M.B.A. in Italy in Luxury Management at the prestigious University of Bologna. Malikah currently resides in her hometown, New York City. In addition to her professional pursuits, Kelly is heavily involved in mentorship of young women interested in business school and entrepreneurship and regularly studies new languages.
