Kiva Lending Team: Verlon & Geneva's Family
We loan because...
Verlon and Geneva grew up during the Depression. They met and married during World War II and were happily married over 61 years. They worked hard all of their life and were able to enjoy the benefits of their work when they retired. Verlon and Geneva took great pleasure in their three daughters, three grandsons and great grandchildren (which now total five). The most important thing to them was family. They also donated to charities they felt strongly about. Geneva died in 2003 and Verlon in 2008. Establishing this team in their honor is a way of continuing their belief in giving back or as we say today, paying it forward.
Team members are the family of Verlon and Geneva.
