Kiva Lending Team: I'm With Her
We loan because...
We might not be able to change the United States election outcome, but we can invest in our future by supporting women around the world through organizations like Kiva.
“We are stronger together and will go forward together. And you should never, ever regret fighting for that.”
—Hillary Rodham Clinton
I have supported Kiva for several years through small $25 microfinance loans. Like many American's right now, I am struggling to find ways to get more involved and help protect the rights of people here and around the world from the hate that our president-elect has incited. I started this group for people to come together and if you have the means, to loan money to women around the world- hard working women who are farmers, bakers, educators and entrepreneurs.
“Women's empowerment helps raise economic productivity and reduce infant mortality. It contributes to improved health and nutrition. It increases the chances of education for the next generation.”
― Nicholas D. Kristof, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide
