Kiva Lending Team: Friends of Pana Pana
We loan because...
We believe the work Pana Pana does as an MFI and a development NGO is invaluable to the North Atlantic Autonomous Region of Nicaragua. Pana Pana supports some of the most marginalized groups in Nicaragua and launches highly catalytic programs to help alleviate poverty in the local communities and guarantee a decent quality of life to its clients.
The Friends of Pana Pana Team believes in supporting micro-finance efforts in areas devastated by past civil wars, the Sandinista Revolution in the 70s and 80s, and natural disasters, Hurricane Felix in 2007. It also believes in providing financial services to the largely isolated and excluded northeastern region of Nicaragua and empowering its impoverished ethnic groups.
Location: Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua
