We loan because...
We are grateful for the times the universe has been willing to take a chance on us, and because karma...

About us
Our primary focus is on the borrowers and their needs, and we have faith in their good intentions toward lenders and Kiva. First-time borrowers, especially individual ones, are often the most needy borrowers of all. Being unknowns, first loans are at inherently higher risk of delinquency or default, which many lenders are not willing or able to accommodate.

We choose to assume this higher risk judiciously on some proportion of our loans in the hope of doing the most good, by providing vulnerable first-time borrowers the opportunity to prove themselves.

Our goal is to encourage loans to first-time borrowers and to attempt some assessment of how risky these loans actually are. There is no expectation that loans be credited to this team, but please post your loans to borrowers identified in the loan description as first-time borrowers here so we can try to monitor their performance.
