We loan because...
In order to engage the Carleton College community in microfinance initiatives. We believe that the best way to inform a community about microfinance is through experiential learning, where activism and direct involvement works hand in hand with fruitful dialogues.

About us
Our team consists of a group of dedicated students from Carleton College, a small liberal arts school, in Northfield, Minnesota. For many of us, microfinance is a very new, but very exciting way to contribute to development projects across the world. We organize fund-raising events on campus to invest in entrepreneurs in Kiva. We garner individual skills within our group such as cooking, knitting or baking to sell articles to students on campus. We use the revenues from sales to invest in KIva and to organize programs that inform Carleton students about microfinance initiatives across the world. Please join our team and help us out in our endeavors. We greatly appreciate your support and so does all the entrepreneurs who will be benefited.
