Kiva Lending Team: CARING AND SHARING
We loan because...
We care! We are not alone in the world and we all can help, wherever help is needed, even if it's just a little. A little at a time adds up to a lot!
Hello! My name is Kimber and for many years now, I have been a teacher in the Venice and Santa Monica area in Southern California. I recently started The Caring and Sharing Community Project and am so excited that this, along with Kiva, are now being encorporated as a powerful part of several local enrichment centers, homeschool programs and school projects.
We hope to inspire children to be active participants in their communities. And isn't the world one large community? Children are generous by nature and are starting to be proactive and fire up amazing changes on their own. Children of all ages are really wanting to help other people around the world- and are looking for ways to make a powerful impact. Kiva's Lending Program is a perfect compliment. With the help of their families and their community, just imagine what they can do!
Growing, sharing, learning, loving and giving are all part of what we want to instill and support in our children. And this is a great place to help support those lessons -- by helping other people around the world. It starts with us!
