Moringa is supporting farmers in an eco-friendly way
"Ten years ago, 200 Kiva lenders chipped in $25 each to crowdfund our first $5,000 loan to build our first small scale moringa oil processing center.
Since then, Kiva lenders have reinvested to help us grow our organic farm and launch our natural skincare & wellness products to the shelves of Whole Foods from the soils of Ghana. You’ve helped support our farmers through a pandemic and helped us build a solar irrigation system.

Mpower Ventures is providing clean energy
With over 1'000 of you supporting our project, we successfully raised an impressive loan of USD 50'000 within a few days. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your contribution will enable MPower to enhance the living standards of households in Cameroon by equipping them with basic lighting, USB chargers, floodlights, and other solar products. Since the round's closure, the solar products have been ordered and are set to be shipped in the next weeks.
As our country manager for Cameroon Paul Nemga says, “we are delighted to receive funding from kiva and will make sure that the funds are deployed to the benefit of communities across the country”.
As of today, MPower has facilitated energy access to more than 100'000 people in Africa. Yet, close to half a billion individuals in Sub-Saharan Africa remain without reliable electricity. The market potential is vast, and so is our vision: together with you, our partners, supporters, and dedicated team, we are committed to bridging the electrification gap on the African continent by providing clean and reliable energy sources.

Caurie thanks Climate Pilots
Caurie is a wonderful lending partner who serves women in Senegal. Climate Pilots has lent almost $137K to Caurie's borrowers over the years. Caurie's CEO presented at Kiva recently and specifically thanked the Climate Pilots team!
