About me:
The Costa Rei is bordered to the south by the sandy and rocky bays of Sant'Elmo and to the north by Capo Ferrato, which is secured and can not be built on. The natural charm of the Costa Rei is equivalent to the famous Costa Smeralda. Small bays alternate with long sandy beaches, in front of a sloping hinterland with evergreen macchia and enforcing granite rocks. If you wish to reach the Costa Rei, you will go through one of the most suggestive areas of Sardinia: the Sarrabus. The appeal of this area is further boosted by the profile of the "Sette Fratelli" mountain complex that controls the park. The park is a natural oasis of great value, an ideal location for unwinding strolls. In between the mountains and the luxuriant hills and the sea, which offers all type of tones of blue, a growing Mediterranean maquis, in some places the charming areas of the Costa Rei appear in view, such as Cala Pira: a small bay framed by dunes covered with fragrant juniper. This place is made more captivating by the sparse overview of the "Torre Aragonese" tower that dominates the crystal clear sea. The white beach "Cala Sinzias" is enclosed in between two headlands and is safeguarded by a thick pine forest. It is extremely near to the center of Costa Rei: a lovely traveler center, situated on a stretch of fine white sand that appears endless, caressed by the sea with its beguiling tones of color, from turquoise green to dark blue. 10 kilometers of splendid beach, which is a perfect destination for any kind of vacation since of its shallow waters and the excellent variety of tourist services offered, such as quality hotels and dining establishments. Behind the Costa Rei there is a fertile farming area that offers a variety of biological products of excellent quality. In the middle of the fields when cultivated by prisoners in open prison, it is worth visiting the former penal nest of Castiadas, a structure dating from 1877, which is now a cultural center and museum. Neighboring is Muravera, a small dynamic town that uses charming hospitality not only in summertime. In truth, the entire village is really involved when in spring the village celebration of citrus fruits, the "Sagra degli Agrumi". Here it is possible to learn more about the boundless ranges of history and folklore of this area, where the valorization of the conventional culture is particularly extreme. If you want to have actually an unwinded, car-free beach getaway, the Costa Rei is the best location for you. You can choose up the paper on foot, purchase fresh bread from the baker and swim in the sea before breakfast. The comprehensive beaches provide peace and quiet. For sports lovers, surf boards and diving courses are provided and motor boats can be rented. Restaurants and stores remain in the immediate vicinity. Anyone who wishes to taste, see, hear and smell it at all times of the day and night will seem like they remain in seventh paradise here. There is no other area in Sardinia where villa and beach paradise come closer and more unobtrusively together than in the town of Costa Rei. A couple of actions suffice to commute between the sea and the bed mattress in your villa. En passend you can take everything with you that makes relaxing even more pleasant: caf├ęs, bars, ice cream parlors, pizzerias, restaurants, kiosks, corner shops and grocery store. The King's Coast is ideal for households, and not only due to the fact that of its uncomplicated, well-developed facilities, which continues right as much as the beaches. It is moiraied for trips with children, due to the fact that the seabed slopes carefully along its whole length and in numerous places permits for long walks towards the open sea. There are hardly any pebbles, however there are rocky reefs in the sea and big smoothly polished granite blocks in the typical grey of the location. Seaweed is very unusual on the beach during the bathing season. For those who require more powerful contrasts, make a detour for snorkeling or diving to the numerous hundred meter long rocky section Sant'Elmo, the cliff Scoglio di Peppino or to the ends of the huge bay - Capo Ferrato in the north, Monte Macioni in the south. Emerald-green tones mix into the color spectrum of the water there, granite and volcanic rocks captivate above the water with magical forms and invite you to discover undersea the marine flora and fauna, which is among the most intact in the Mediterranean. It is only a stone's throw by cars and truck to the rocky beach bays with little sandy beaches in the north of Capo Ferrato or Cala Pira and Punta Molentis in the Sarrabus mountains. There is no absence of range on the Costa Rei in spite of its almost dead straight course. With small temporal variations of the beach gos to, huge effects can be achieved on this coastal strip, which is open to the east. Early in the early morning prior to the sun rises from the sea, for example, when a fluorescent joint of delicate pink and orange tones dramatically separates sky and sea for a couple of moments, possibly with a revitalizing dive into the water right before and a warm, creamy cappuccino plus brioche at a bar quickly afterwards. Or at night, sitting on a dune at dusk in the fragrance of flowering beach lilies, bare feet in the still warm sand and in your hand a cold mirto (Sardinian myrtle liqueur), which makes the pastel-colored potpourri between blue and violet, which blurs the horizon between sky and water, even tastier ... There is no better method! Those who come from the mountains of Sarrabus and come throughout the flat shoreline at Cala Sinzias, which here broadens into a little lowland plain found with hills near the coast, will rub their eyes: at the foot of Monte Macioni, a bright white strip of beach with a large, turquoise and emerald green shining carpet lights up, which extends in a mild curve over 3 kilometers to Sant'Elmo, wildly flanked by cactus hedges, mastic bushes, dwarf palms, olive and eucalyptus trees. The area has stayed incredibly sparsely populated and natural till today. It was only slowly discovered by tourism in the late 70s and till then served as a summer resort, especially for the inhabitants of Castiadas, 8 kilometers inland. The bay of Cala Sinzias is considered by the Italian Environmental Protection Association as one of the clearest and most pristine coastal locations in Italy. No surprise that the rocky reefs at the ends of the bay are an El Dorado for snorkelers and scuba divers. Another emphasize of this bay are the beach bars, which with everything your heart desires make this beach a wellness oasis for old and young.
