A loan of $1,000 helped buy flowers wholesale.

Leocadia Lola's story

Leocadia C. M. is part of the "Manuela Ramos de Tinco" Communal Bank in the province of Carhuaz.

Leocadia is 49 years old and has 4 children. She tells us that she and her husband have had to overcome many problems, such as the illness of her son for example. To start up her business she had to overcome many fears, mainly that of taking out a loan, but little by little she has progressed and her business has grown alot. Leocadia sells regional products which she buys at the market in Carhuaz and sells in the city of Lima, where she buys flowers which she then sells in Huaraz and Carhuaz with the help of her sister. Leocadia enjoys working and helping out her family through her work.

With this loan for S/. 3,000, which will be repaid in 8 installments, she will buy goods to sell in Lima and yellow flowers to sell during the year-end holidays.

Leocadia would like to take courses to make improvements in both her personal life and her business.
