Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT), a partner of Kiva.org in Makeni, northern Sierra Leone, is very pleased to present to you members of the Tawopaneh group. These are small scale entrepreneurs who have come to SMT/Kiva lenders to request a loan of SLL 800,000.00 each in order to invest in their respective businesses.

Kadiatu is the featured leader of this group. Kadiatu is a 29-year-old married mother of three children, two in primary school and one in secondary school. She sells "kanda" (cow's skin) and has been a businesswoman for 11 years now. With her share of this loan, Kadiatu will buy a large quantity of cow’s skin to add to her current stock for sale.
