Group 17 - An Thanh 01's story

Ms. Man, 43, works in agricultural production and earns a monthly income of approximately 700,000 VND. She is the group leader of loan group number 17, which is comprised of 10 households of An Thanh commune, in Tu Ky District. She is married and has two children who are attending high school. She has been a member of the Women's Union since 1989. Her family and other members of the loan group currently do not have septic tank latrines, and they are still using degraded double-pit latrines. With a portion of this loan, which is 10,000,000 VND per member, Ms. Man and other group members will build septic tank latrines and hand-washing devices with soap. This will improve their living conditions and the local community, as well as contribute to environmental protection. In the picture, Ms. Man is standing in the second row, third from the left.
