A loan of $1,200 helped to buy livestock.

María Rosa's story

Maria is 58 years old and has a fifth grade education. She is the single mother of five children, three of whom live with her two work and the other attends school. One of her children’s wives also lives with her.

Maria has had a business (store) for the past 10 years. She started it because the local school did not have a store nor a café where the students could buy things. She used to work the land with her children. Her business is located five minutes from her house.

She will use the money from this loan from Fundación Campo to buy livestock. She wants to have more livestock so she can produce more milk or to be able to sell them for a good price.

She would like for her youngest son to continue attending school and attend university. She would also like to buy more livestock so that her children will have something to work with and have better income.
