Kristen is a 29-year-old legal assistant in Los Angeles, CA, and the favorite “auntie” to her cousin’s three children.

Kristen decided to start her T-shirt business after being uninspired by the T-shirt options. Above all, as an African-American woman, she wanted to create a T-shirt line that combined her love of the culture and community with her warmhearted sense of humor.

The Kiva loan will help her create unique T-shirts that focus on family, community, and humor and bring people together. In the near future, Kristen wants to expand her T-shirt business into a full line of African-American themed apparel that gives thanks to the community that inspired her.
