Harris F. M. lives in Margibi County, which has the largest producing rubber plantation in Liberia. He is 34 years old and lives with his fiancee. They have three children between the ages of 7 and 16, all of whom are in school and live at home. Harris F. M. is a high school graduate and obtained a certificate in medicine. He is working toward obtaining a degree in medicine. He started this business after he obtained his certificate in medicine.
A problem he has faced is the price of drugs, particularly because he has to purchase the medicine in USD and the exchange rate between USD and LRD is too high. He enjoys the many patients he receives every day. Whenever he does not go to his pharmacy to sell, his customers complain to him. Most importantly, his business helps to pay his children's school fees and rent. Having enough money to support his home makes him proud of his business. He is asking for a loan to purchase more drugs like cough tablets, syrups, Paracetamol, Quinine, Amodaquine, etc. so he can render good treatment for his customers. His dream is to educate his children and build a clinic in the near future.
