Rin's Group's story

A widow living in a rural village in the Dambae district of Kampong Cham province, Rin is 53 years old and has four children. Rin has worked to feed her family by growing cassava for seven years. She earns about 4000 KHR per day to meet the family’s needs.

Rin’s group consists of three members who are all female. She has been with VisionFund for three cycles and fully paid back the previous loans. Those loans helped her to support her business. Now she is leading her group to apply for a loan. As the leader, Rin is going to use her portion of the loan to plow the cassava field and pay labor fees. She hopes to increase her crop yield in order to improve her family’s living conditions.
