A loan of $1,100 helped to buy grilling meat, ribs, and guts.

Diana's story

Diana is 56 years old and works selling red meat in her neighborhood, located in the south of the city. She lives with her husband and her 32-year-old son. She has been working in the meat business since 1990, learning the trade from her husband and later setting up her own business. Diana's business sells red meat by the pound to the customer and the very same customers have recommended it to others who are now her regular customers. She accepts cash purchases and also gives credit, working from 7 in the morning every day. She buys her meat from a slaughterhouse in the municipality next to her city where they sell the best beef. Recently, her sales have increased and she does not have enough product to satisfy the market demand. This is why she is requesting a Kiva loan with which she will buy grilling meat, ribs, and guts - products which sell very well, especially during the Christmas season. At this time, her sales and profits rise which is why her loan will bring success.
