Sareum is 59 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in weaving for more than ten years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about $2 daily. One of her children is a construction worker who earns about $3 each day. In order to improve her business, Sareum is requesting a loan of $600 to purchase silk thread to use for weaving. This money will help her produce more woven cloth to sell and earn more income for the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
