A loan of $725 helped to buy construction materials for her home (cement, iron, sand, etc.).

Sandra Ester's story

Sandra Ester was born in the district of Boane in the province of Maputo in southern Mozambique. She is married and is the mother of three children, all of whom go to school. She studied through the seventh grade and stopped due to her parents' lack of financial resources. She lives in her own home with her family and also supports her parents by sending them food.

She has worked at a repair shop for more than five years. She also has had a business for more than six years. She makes almost 5,000 meticals, which she puts towards her home's expenses. She also saves some in her bank account in the BIM bank.

She has never had a loan with another bank. She became familiar with Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of the institution. This is her third loan with Hluvuku, and it is for 15,000 meticals. She will buy construction materials for her home (cement, iron, sand, etc.). Her previous loans were for 10,000 and 15,000, which she put towards her home.

She promises to make her payments on time. In the future, she wants to finish her home and build a wall outside it to give her family more security. She plans on requesting more loans from Hluvuku to do this.
