Karambenor Group's story

This community bank was created on the 7th of June 2001. The group is made up of nine women who live in the same neighborhood. Their main business activity is buying and selling goods.

Aminata, who is on the right of the photo raising her hand, is the group's leader. She is 73 years old and a widow. She has four children in her care who have been entrusted to her by their parents.

Aminata's business is selling palm oil and lemon juice. She has good experience in this field which she has been working in for several years.

This loan will allow Aminata to strengthen her capital and better develop her small business selling palm oil and lemon juice.

The profits that Aminata makes will allow her to cover her personal needs and improve the living conditions of the children that she is responsible for (food, etc.)
