A loan of $1,200 helped to have working capital for her cosmetics business, and to pay to have a public transport vehicle repaired.

Giovanna Elvira's story

This client is 29 years old and lives in La Paz department, in Pampahasi. She started working at the age of 20, providing an urban passenger transport service, but she also sells Esika-brand cosmetics from a catalog in order to make more income.

Giovanna became independent at the age of 20. She currently lives in a house 'en anticrético' (a special kind of rental system in Bolivia) but she is making income to cover her expenses together with her husband. In this way, she was able to save up to buy the vehicle that she now has. She achieved her goal with sacrifice and perseverance.

The loan that Giovanna is requesting will be used to repair the vehicle and to buy merchandise (cosmetics) so that she can get ahead and fulfil many more of the dreams that she has.
