A loan of $2,300 helped a member to buy more sacks of charcoal.

Furaha Group's story

Nassoro, who is in his late 20s, is married with two children who are still at school. He has been running a charcoal business for two years now. He works from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be his 1st loan from Tujijenge Tanzania and he wants to use it for buying more sacks of charcoal. His dream is to one day be able to build his own house.

He will share this loan with his loan group "Furaha" which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
