Stefany Rocio
A loan of $2,500 helps to buy cattle and sheep.

Stefany Rocio's story
Thanks to her effort and dedication, Stefany has been able to create various sources of income which allow her to support her family and continue to grow. Stefany is 29 years old, married, and the mother of a four-year-old daughter. She has completed a program as a bilingual secretary, and currently works teaching English at a school. Her husband works at a gas station.
For the past seven years, Stefany has bought, raised, and sold animals such as geese, sheep, cattle, and pigs. She cares for them for four months before selling them, and has support from her husband and two employees.
She also began taking orders for and selling catalog items out of her home a year and a half ago. Stefany is requesting a second personal loan from Kiva to buy more animals, including dairy cows and sheep. Her goal is to have a bigger farm and to invest in producing milk to generate more income.
Stefany speaks Spanish, and lives in the department of San Marcos. She participates in Friendship Bridge's “Puente Al Éxito” program. She has received technical advice, both in person and online, which has helped her to gain more knowledge. She stresses good customer service, inventory creation, and business management, all of which will certainly lead to Stefany's success.
She wishes to thank the Kiva lenders for supporting Guatemalan women entrepreneurs.
