My name is Allison, and baking has always been my happy place—the one space where creativity, calm, and joy all come together. I once

ran a franchise bakery inside a major mall. It was fast-paced and full of potential, but when life took an unexpected turn, everything I had built disappeared almost overnight.

I found myself starting over as a divorced, single mother of three little girls who love being in the kitchen with me. In the midst of loss and transition, one thing stayed constant: my passion for baking and the joy it brings to others. Instead of giving up, I decided to rebuild—not with someone else’s name over the door, but with my own. I stand as a proud graduate of the Lauderhill Shines Program, Cohort 11 where it has allowed me to expand my toolkit of resources in the area of entrepreneurship.

That’s how Cute Cookies was born: out of resilience, hope, and the desire to show my daughters that joy can rise again, even after the hardest seasons. Today, every cookie I bake carries that story. My dream is to grow Cute Cookies into a nationally recognized brand, and this loan will help me take the next step toward that future.
