Maurishia's story
Maurishia is 29 years old and lives in the town of Mityana in the Mityana region of Uganda. She is married and has no children.
For the past 5 years Maurishia has been working hard to manage her tailoring and mobile money business which does tailoring and mobile money transactions. To help expand her business, Maurishia has requested a loan of 2,500,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more fabric and mobile money float. This will help Maurishia to generate greater profits and Improve on the standard of living of the family.
Maurishia hopes that in the future she will be able to accomplish business expansion. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program, which primarily serves small-group members like her who do not have the collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
